You should be careful when you are on the internet because someone could think you were cyberbullying them when you were just trying to e-mail them. There is a resolution to this but it involves being honest and not lying. You have to be honest when you explain if you have cyberbullied someone or tried to e-mail them when they didn’t want you to. Another situation when you would have to be honest is if someone had pretended to be you and had cyberbullied your classmate or friend and you would have to explain that it was not you but this is very rare.

Although we are saying this is being honest on the internet it is actually being honest face to face about the internet.  If you had changed a website and the owners of the website wanted to know who had messed it up you would have to be honest.

Luckily people can be more honest online than offline, we know a lot of you will think this is strange but it is true!  There is still honesty online – but never stop being careful.  Anyway it is great it is true because it means not so many people will come onto the internet in disguise. People might even be more honest online, maybe this is because you can’t judge them by their We know it can be easier to lie online than offline because you can’t see their face and there is no way you could look through the computer and see them!
